چکیده

-Sensor networks consist of large number of nodes with limited energy, computation and transmission power. Each node in the network helps every other node by forwarding their packets to reach the destination .Since these nodes operate in a physically insecure environment; they are vulnerable to different types of attacks such as sinkhole and wormhole. These attacks can inject malicious packets by compromising the node. Conventional routing protocols have been developed without considering the security aspects against these attacks. In this paper, a secure routing protocol named secured dynamic source routing protocol(S-DSR) is proposed for mobile sensor networks by incorporating trust based mechanism in the existing dynamic source routing protocol (DSR). Simulation results prove that S-DSR outperforms the DSR by reducing the packet drop, delay and improving the delivery ratio of the networks. Key-Words: Wireless sensor networks: Malicious node; Sink hole; Worm hole; Dynamic source routing protocol; Trust model.

Comparative Performance Analysis of AODV,DSR, TORA and OLSR Routing Protocols in MANET Using OPNET

Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are receiving a significant interest and are becoming very popular in the world of wireless networks and telecommunication. MANETs consist of mobile nodes which can communicate with each other without any infrastructure or centralized administration. In MANETs, the movement of nodes is unpredictable and complex; thus making the routing of the packets challenging....

Survey of Routing Protocols for Mobile Ad hoc Networks

In this paper we represent a survey of various existing secure routing protocols for MANET’s. A mobile ad hoc network is a self configuring mobile nodes network. Significant progress has been made for making mobile ad hoc network secure and dynamic. Its infrastructure less and absence of any centralized authority makes these networks more vulnerable to security attacks. Due to these security th...

An Efficient Routing Algorithm to Lifetime Expansion in Wireless Sensor Networks

This paper proposes an efficient network architecture to improve energy consumption in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). The proposed architecture uses a mobile data collector to a partitioned network. The mobile data collector moves to center of each logical partition after each decision period. The mobile data collector must declare its new location by packet broadcasting to all sensor node...
